2011-09-21 Neva Lions

I am officially on the roster of the Невский Львы. Or the Neva Lions. Saint Petersburg’s premier American football team. It is late, and I’m tired and want to sleep, but I just wanted to tell everyone back at home that I am playing American football here. At the highest level (in Russia haha). We have a game this weekend in Moscow. And I’m going! Things have just escalated. We wear Black and Gold which I’m not very used to, but I’ll get over it. So today my friends Chase, and Jaye tried out with me for the team. And it went wonderfully. I was literally like white on rice (no Asian pun intended) in relation to me and these wide receivers. What a feeling it is, when you see the quarterback’s head turn your way, and he knows you have it all covered, and he turns back and throws it to the opposite side of the field. Perfect. Playing cornerback of course, and it doesn’t look like I have choice of number, so I won’t be 22. But hopefully I’ll get a good one anyway.

I’m off to bed then. It is 2 am, now. And I have class in the morning… So much to do, so little time…
