2011-09-29 A Champion's Week
It’s a very late night now, nearing 4 am. I would just like to comment on how hectic my past week’s been.
-Joined an American Football team, the Neva Lions.
-Went to Moscow and played in the Russian National Championship Semi-Finals, had an interception and some shut down coverage.
-Celebrated my birthday en route back from Moscow, as well as my friends the rest of the day.
-Went to two Zenit soccer games, versus Tom Tomsk in the Premier League, and FC Porto in the Champions League.
-Applied, was accepted and started work at the Hermitage.
Goodness, it has been busy. So I have already described the rest of the events, but the Porto game is new. I’m tired so I will make it quick. I sat with my friend in the front row as close as possible to one of the corner flags as well as right in the die hard season supporters home crowd sector. It was thrilling. We were jumping and singing the whole night and watched the sky blues win in a comeback victory. The game ended 3-1 after being down one goal, so it was absolutely awesome. They celebrated the winning goal mere feet from us and by the third the entire home stand started going shirtless so we spent the last fifteen minutes surrounded by cold pinkish shirtless men.
All in all it was the greatest sport match I’ve ever been to.
