2012-01-28 The Strange Return to the Motherland

Being back in my old dorm building in my familiar Russian city is pleasant, with the odd curveball of new roommates, classmates, a different room and a completely different climate (-20 degrees Celsius). It is all strange and will take some getting used to…

London however was pleasant as per usual, of course, since this is the 5th time I have visited the British capital. I managed to attend a church Evensong service at Westminster Abbey, a lovely way to see the magnificent architectural success of a cathedral. 

I found myself walking all over London, seeing the areas and the things I had yet to experience as well as eating at some fantastic local restaurants such as the Lamb and Flag and the Seven Stars Fish Bar. 

In effort to update my blog more often I will make the entries shorter, for the ease of both you and myself. Read my tiny updates from time to time, and enjoy them to their fullest. 

Heads up, I do not have my brother’s camera any longer so do not expect the wondrous picture quality I managed to post last semester.
