FIFA Club World Cup 2025: Match Schedule, Ticket Update, and Best Home Kit

Match Schedule

Drawn on 12/5, with a very weird ceremony. Here is the Match Schedule.

MetLife hosts 9 matches. 5 mediocre group stage games and then 4 knock out round matches. Including both Semi-Finals and the Finals.

How to Get Tickets and Next Steps

With little notice and marketing, the tickets became suddenly available after the draw on I’ve checked prices weekly since then, and they’re basically steady despite availability and the claim they’re using Dynamic Pricing. Tickets for the MetLife matches range from $145 to $190 and $78 to $100 for Tier 1 and Tier 3 respectively.

In my opinion this is too much for these games. And I’m not very interested in paying it. The competition is new and is really being looked at by teams as a glorified preseason, not a competitive tournament, certainly by the European teams at least. The rankings of these teams playing at MetLife are (according to Opta):

  1. Palmeiras (63) v. Porto (22)

  2. Fluminense (145) v. Dortmund (25)

  3. Palmeiras (63) v. Al Ahly (98)

  4. Fluminense (145) v. Ulsan (303)

  5. Porto (22) v. Al Ahly (98)

That’s an average rank of 98th… I mean to charge aminimum of $75 to see Fluminense v. Ulsan is ridiculous. This match up is worth maybe $25. I know some of this scheduling is due to time zones and broadcasting, but matches 2 and 3 are at noon on a weekday. And they think they’ll sell 90,000 tickets? Obvious pet peeve of mine are empty seats at a sporting event. It means you’ve failed pricing and you’re leaving money on the table.

Quick side note, Ticketmaster is awful, there are already resellers selling tickets for double the price. I know they make money on more transactions, but it’s really awful that people just buy tickets to flip them immediately.

I recommend getting tickets for Matchday 3 and the Quarter Finals. Those are usually the best value. Early Group Stage matchdays tend to be low energy. Round of 16 tends to have lopsided fixtures because of the seeding. But at the end of the day, just pick what you want to see, and I’m sure you’ll have a good time.

I will be eyeing one Group Stage game to take my nephews to. But mostly targetting semifinals and finals. There is no real news on how to get these tickets. The only current available methods are the expensive hospitality route. Or this utterly insane digital pack drawing. Yes, there are 250 pairs of tickets available (only as the right to purchase them) in this digital card collecting scheme. I mean… what?

After a whopping 20 votes, we have our final four. And I think the voting worked, I’m a fan of them all. Looks like this summer will be green and blue!
